"Because you were slain, and with your blood,
you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation." - Revelation 5:9
"After this I saw a vast crowd,
too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language standing in front of the
throne and before the Lamb." - Revelation 7:9
We are inspired by the above Bible verses. There are hundreds of unreached tribes, languages, people in
India who have not yet heard the gospel. Though many tribes and people have heard the gospel, yet there are many
thousands who do not have the Word of God in their own mother tongues.
A very important ministry that has been relegated to the background in the Christian world, that is next
to the ministry of preaching the Word is of making available the Word of God in every tongue. The need of the hour is
not to invest our money into raising up towering buildings with mortar and cement but into translating the Bible in every
language. Today the Church is as a blind man losing his vision. When the Holy Spirit was given to the Church for the first
time on the day of Pentecost, the 120 disciples were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak "with other tongues"
as the Spirit gave them utterance. The multitude who spoke different languages came there and heard the wonderful works
of God in their own languages "wherein we were born" through the mouths of people who spoke these languages (Acts 2:1 - 11).
It was a sign given to the Church that henceforth the glorious gospel would be preached in every tongue of this world.
It is very essential to give the Bible in one's mother tongue. In the past, many Christians
stopped following Christ because they did not have the Bible in their unwritten mother tongues. You may think, "Why
not give the Bible in their State or Regional languages?". The answer is many people do not know those languages.
Even if they do, they may not have a proper understanding of those languages. Hence, it is of no use to give them the
Bible in their State or Regional languages. It is important to translate the Bible in their mother tongues,
so that they may remain in Christ and give fruits. In India, there is an urgent need for Bible translation in 180 more
Indian languages.
In this website, we present the ministry of a couple, namely, Deva Subir and his wife Sudha Subir, Delhi,
India, who are engaged in the most important but neglected ministry of Bible translation. They need your monetary and prayer
support for this wonderful ministry. We request you to be a partner with us in this marvelous work of God in our midst.
